St Mark & St Stephen
Prayer and Worship

Welcome to St Mark and St Stephen, Bush Hill Park. We are a growing church community made up of people from many different cultures, languages, and backgrounds — a place where all are welcome and can find a spiritual home. At the heart of our life together is the worship of God. We are rooted in the celebration of the Eucharist, using the liturgy of Common Worship and the Book of Common Prayer, and our worship is enriched by music, vestments, and a sense of reverence and joy. Whether you’re exploring faith, new to the area, or looking for a church to belong to, we’d love to welcome you.

Every Sunday at 10:30am, we come together to celebrate the Eucharist (which you might hear us call Mass or Holy Communion.) At St Mark and St Stephen, we wear traditional robes and use liturgy during our services. We sing hymns accompanied by either our electric organs or our beautiful pipe organ, sometimes with other instruments too! Our music blends traditional and contemporary styles, reflecting the diversity of our worship.

We alternate our Sunday services between the two Church buildings – the dates of where to find us are below.

On the first Sunday of each month, we hold an All-Age Mass. During this service, there is no Sunday School, and we aim to engage our younger members more intentionally while always making sure everyone feels welcome! Our young people often serve at the altar during this special service.

On the third Sunday of the month, we offer healing prayer ministry after Communion. We also have a new Evensong service at 5:30pm on the third Sunday at St Stephen’s - come and join us for this beautiful evening worship.

During the week, we have midweek Holy Communion services following the Book of Common Prayer:

  • Wednesdays at noon at St Mark’s
  • Thursdays at noon at St Stephen’s
These said services (no singing) use traditional language and are followed by coffee, cake, and friendly conversation at St Stephen’s on Thursdays. All are welcome.

A Prayer for the Parish

Parish Map

God our Father, graciously hallow with your blessing this our parish. May it be a place where the sorrowing find comfort and the tempted strength; where the lonely find fellowship and the sinner forgiveness; where the faithful find grace, and all offer you a holy worship; in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen.
