Sixteen New Disciples Confirmed in Bush Hill Park

On Sunday 14 September at 5pm, the Parish of St Mark & St Stephen, Bush Hill Park was filled with joy and thanksgiving as 16 candidates were confirmed in their Christian faith.

The congregation gathered in celebration with 8 candidates from the Anglican Igbo Church of the Holy Trinity, London, and 8 candidates from our parish, all affirming their baptismal promises and being strengthened by the Holy Spirit for their journey of discipleship.

We were especially blessed to welcome the Bishop of Edmonton, Rt Revd Dr Anderson Jeremiah, who laid hands on the candidates, prayed for them, and reminded the whole church of our calling to bear witness to Christ.

The service was marked by vibrant worship, heartfelt prayers, and a deep sense of God’s presence. It was truly an occasion of hope and renewal, commissioning these new disciples to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in their families, communities, and beyond.

As a parish, we give thanks for this wonderful milestone and pray for all who were confirmed, that they may grow in faith, love, and witness to the power of the Gospel.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19)
